The land and project for campsite in Tabernas. The project has approval from all necessary departments within the Junta de Andalucia and also local Town Hall approval. (This would need to be renewed due to the time lapsed since initial approval). This is a significant and unique investment opportunity it would be the first desert campsite in Europe, and could be self sustainable by use of renewable energy and water from its own well, water present and well Permission granted.

Located 20 minutes north of the city of Almeria, Tabernas is nestled between the stunningly beautiful Sierra Cabrera and Sierra Filabres mountain ranges. The site for the new mobile home park is situated on the outskirts of the town of Tabernas, within a tranquil setting with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

On the edge of the town lie the remains of Tabernas castle. The castle casts a spectacular glow over the town in the evenings when illuminated and this will be visible from our mobile home park. As a traditional Spanish town, Tabernas has its own bull ring and a weekly market, promoting the sale of local produce. Tabernas also plays host to three annual fiestas; the first in January, then May and the largest, a four day event, in August.

Tabernas is famous as the setting for many well-known Spaghetti Westerns. A number of the film sets have been retained and converted into theme parks, which attract thousands of visitors throughout the year. The largest of these theme parks is Mini-Hollywood (Parque Oasys). Built for the film “For a Few Dollars More”, starring Clint Eastwood, Mini-Hollywood is now a busy tourist attraction, complete with Wild West shoot-outs, can-can girls and a zoological reserve.

Texas Hollywood, the film set for “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”, was converted into a tourist attraction in the 1980´s, whilst Western Leone, built for Sergio Leone’s “Once Upon a Time in the West”, is the smallest of the three theme parks and is still used for the occasional film shoot today.

Camping Tabernas is planned with this Western theme in mind and will complement the existing theme parks. We planned to include a saloon style bar and communal areas to be landscaped to blend in with the local environment of cactus and canyons.
